Mostostal Płock to Carry Out Decarbonization Works at Orlen’s Asphalt Department in Płock
A consortium involving Mostostal Płock has signed a contract with Orlen worth PLN 246.8 million net. Mostostal Płock holds a 40% share in the consortium, amounting to PLN 98.72 million net. The contract covers the execution of an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project aimed at emission reduction and furnace maintenance in the Asphalt Department of Orlen’s production plant in Płock.
– Thanks to our production capabilities, we will efficiently carry out this important task in the field of environmental protection and energy efficiency, said Jacek Szymanek, President of the Management Board of Mostostal Płock. We have a continuous presence in chemical plants. For Orlen, we have successfully completed numerous investments, and the contract for work in the Asphalt Department in Płock marks another stage of our strong cooperation.
Project details
The consortium, consisting of Spec-Rem (Leader), Mostostal Płock (Partner), and Biproraf, will execute the project titled "Reduction of Low Emissions and Ensuring Furnace Maintenance at a Level Ensuring Process Continuity in the Asphalt Department", located at Orlen’s plant in Płock.
The contract includes the design, supply, and modernization of the installation in an EPC “turnkey” formula, along with commissioning activities and parameter verification.
Mostostal Płock's scope of work includes:
- Installation of furnaces along with piping,
- Supply and installation of separators, fittings, and supports,
- Construction, anti-corrosion, insulation, and sanitary works.
The project is scheduled for completion by November 30, 2026.
